We are going to make this short and sweet. Last week we did some digging into the lies that we believe about ourselves and then we looked at the truth of God's Word and what it says about how God created us. I want to wrap up this week by asking some follow-up questions. Please feel free to think about them or answer them by writing in your journal.
1. What was the most surprising thing that you discovered about yourself during last weeks lessons?
2. What was the most surprising or best thing that you learned about God?
3. Describe how you feel different now that you have dug up some of that junk from the past?
4. The enemy constantly wants to remind you of your past but God wants to heal you and bring you into a future of hope with Him. Are you ready to continually reject the lies of the enemy? How does it make you feel to be able to be free of that junk?
I hope that you have been encouraged and challenged this week my friends. I know that the Lord is so pleased with your efforts to continually draw closer to Him! Now that we have identified some of the lies of the enemy we are going to look more deeply into how God sees us. Be ready my friends it is going to be a great week!
Homework
One of my favorite Psalms is the Psalm 19 written by David described as a man after God's own heart. I love these words of praise from David's lips to God. I have often used these words in prayer. Take some time to read this entire chapter aloud - make it a prayer to God and let the words sink in to the inner most parts of your being - they are truly beautiful!
Challenge
Are you exercising 1/2 hour daily? Time to ramp up even more girlfriends. Our goal is to hit at least 45 minutes of movement a day. I like to break these up into 1/2 hour in the morning and another 15 minutes to 1/2 hour later on but feel free to do what feels good for you and your body. Remember though we need to find a balance between pushing ourselves past some of the pain but also listening to our bodies to avoid injury. Don't give up - keep going - you can do it! :-)
